Mr. Miller thought it was time to release a solo album because he had a couple of tracks that Horse Badorties didn't like but he liked them so much that he changed his name from Mr. Miller to Allen Smithee and released it as SOS 024 on "Save our sperms" in a complicated to open wooden cover.

By the way : Horse Badorties gues/ts on two of the thirteen tracks
( 05 & 12 ). Other guests were : Wolfgang Boullay, Johannes Maier & Detlef Schäfet ( on 07 & 09 ), Herr Rossi ( played drums on 01, 05 & 12 ) and an unknown pianist – recorded at a restaurant during a dinner – on track 12.

Why Allen Smithee ? Well ... he thought it's a funny name : When a movie is really really ... REALLY bad and the director didn't want that his name should be associated with that movie, Hollywood invented a pseudonym : Allen Smithee ( or Aln Smithee ). So don't be confused when you see his name on the screen or when you find other Allen Smithee's on bandcamp or wherever ... it's not him. You only find him here ! And he was probably the first one who used this moniker.

Around the same time he recorded his solo album, he remembered all these great songs he heard, he sung along to and loved when he was younger. So he decided to do another record which he called "Music for a small niche market" – full of his interpretations of songs written by others – and gave it away for free with the album, because the songs are not his songs. But when you download the whole album you'll also get it ... for free.

Horse Badorties and Mr. Miller are the members of s/t and they have released a lot of stuff over the years, and most of these releases you will find here in the near future ... when you come back ... hopefully.
